There are plenty of benefits to doing push-ups. Push-ups is one of the oldest sports exercises that were practiced to strengthen the chest muscles, it is a group of exercises based mainly on the weight of the body, and its ability to resist the closeness of the ground, by dropping the body towards it and then returning to the state it was first.  The arms in this exercise are considered basic pillars in push-ups.


Benefits of the push-up exercise

There are many benefits to doing push-ups, but the most important benefits of these exercises are the following:  It strengthens the chest muscles.  It works to strengthen the various muscles of the body at the same time and can focus on several muscles to strengthen them. It works to strengthen the muscles of the hands and forearms. It works to strengthen the shoulder muscles from the side between the chest area and the front shoulder. It works to strengthen the muscles of the upper back and the muscles of the lower back. Strengthens the abdominal muscles. It works by stretching the tendon in the knee and the quadriceps muscle (the front part of the thigh), and tightening the leg and foot muscles. It strengthens the heart muscle and activates it, as does any exercise that requires high exertion.

In addition to the physical benefits of push-up exercise and strengthening of muscles, there are other benefits that distinguish it from other exercises:  Push-ups are a simple exercise; where it can be practiced easily, it does not require high concentration, nor significant physical strength. It can be done anywhere and any time, as long as the method of its performance is correct, it will not need a prepared place or a specific time (knowing that it is preferable not to perform any physical activity that requires high effort after eating food at least half an hour), then the flat, wide and flat place is a good place to do this exercise. There is no need for expensive technical sports equipment. Completely change the body shape; properly performing the push-up exercise leads to a healthy body and good health. It increases strength and energy; since everyone who did this exercise and continued it for more than a month, they increased significantly stronger and energy, as it not only strengthens the muscles of the body, but also strengthens the heart muscle, which is primarily responsible for the energy of the body. It activates fat burning processes in the body; this exercise is considered like any exercise that builds the muscles of the body, as it works to burn calories as a result of high effort. It also prevents injury; pressing helps to avoid injuries caused by muscle or tendon lacerations.
